Good morning everyone,
I am reviewing our process of Hepa Mask Fit testing and PAPR usage. I am searching for detailed, evidence based information on which medical conditions would prevent the usage of the hepa mask and require PAPR usage.
The OSHA cites I have reviewed give very broad information such as heart disease, lung disease, and claustrophobia.
As you know there are several types of heart and lung disease conditions on the OSHA Medical Questionnaire. It seems it is left to the medical provider or health care professional reviewing the questionnaire to determine which type of
heart or lung disease would require PAPR testing.
Thank you for your assistance.
