Got a call from the nurse manager of our inpatient ortho unit today…asking about back braces and KT to prevent back injuries.  I think I made the case for not using back braces.  However, one of the PTs had offered to tape the nurses…they were going to buy the tape themselves with their candy fundraiser kitty. I asked her to hold off til I checked into things a bit more for them.

 

A cosmic review of the literature on KT is of course beyond the scope of my inquiry here, as is my own opinion about KT that might be viewed as snarky.  

But wondering what your approach is, what you tell your people, and what is the basis for your counsel?
