We use a separate Worker’s Comp budget to get workers back to work asap. Program more successful than if using departments budget or productivity. We have done it both ways and WC budget much better for all. They go back to dept budget when fully released by MD without restrictions for their job position.

For your Early Return to Work Programs with Workers’ Compensation employees, does your Employee Health Department budget cover their time and attendance?  If yes, at what point do you transfer them back to their hired cost center?  Once their provider has released them to return to work without restrictions?
