We have 1300 employees. Those that can’t fit an N-95 are issued a PAPR hood. The fan units for the PAPR hoods are maintained in the hospital, but I’m not sure how many are maintained.

We use Bitrex solution as a qualitative mask fit test. Those that fail Bitrex go to the PAPR.

When you asked about “particle generator” fit testing, are you talking about a PortaCount? I wasn’t aware that those could be used for N-95 masks as there is no way (that I know of) to insert the testing tube into the N-95 mask.

What does your facility use as respirators for employees who cannot wear the N95? And how many to do keep on hand in your facility?  And what size is your facility?

Does anyone use a Particle Generator for fit testing?  If no, what process/equipment do you use
