We do not have ours go through workmans comp if we have the proof of offering and the declination.

Hello all,

This is a question we asked years ago.  Even if they sign the declination off x21 days their own risk, and they know it, if they get it at work or be furloughed due to work exposure, it would end up going through w/c.

Thank you,

Cathreen

List-

I am interested to hear how others would handle this situation:

A candidate (DOB 1995)for an ER Patient Access (patient registration) position has a negative Varicella titer at the pre-placement evaluation and no vaccination records are available.  The candidate is told immunization will be required at which time they state they have a religious objection.  Our HR and Legal staff have advised that we make an accommodation and allow the candidate to work in the Patient Access position.  How do others handle if the non-immune employee is exposed to a patient with Varicella?  Do other organizations furlough the exposed employee for the duration of the incubation period (21 days)?

Thank you in advance.
