Hi all,

Does anyone have experience with a lab exposure to M. Kansasii? Literature review shows no person-to-person transmission, but the sample the tech was working with has been confirmed as M. Kansasii thus exposure is not in question. Any literature about prophylaxis, screening, etc.? Rare for this organism to cause infection  in immunocompetent hosts, but this was potentially a direct inhalation, thus unable to quantify. Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

Ron
