Good Morning,

CDC guidelines were updated in May 2019 that annual screening for HCWs is not recommended; screening should only be done in the case of exposures.  We are in NJ.  Our Hospital Licensing Standards currently have not been updated; however, I have received information that NJDOH is planning on updated their standards to mirror the CDC recommendation.  https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/68/wr/mm6819a3.htm?s_cid=mm6819a3_w&c_cid=journal_search_promotion_2018 [cdc.gov].

We do perform TSPOT on all newly hired employees.

Hope this helps!

Marlene

Subject: [MCOH-EH] TB test shortage

I am wondering how the group will be handling the TST shortage for various clients, especially healthcare facilities and OSHA required testing.
