We are doing baseline evals with CMP, CBC, UA. We have a 3rd party occupational physician group doing the evals. There is an 8 page med history each employee at risk fills out prior to visit. Labs are done at our facility and employee hand delivers results with to their medical questionnaire to the visit.

This same thing will be done post exposure and annually.

I will try to send our policy and paperwork when I get back to the office next week. I attempted to send in a reply but due to security on our system was not successful. I had to wait for permissions from IT to use listserve.

Does the ACOEM have any official (or unofficial) guidance on baseline Hazardous Drugs (USP 800) medical surveillance labs?

Looking for some input from other Occupational Health nurses in the hospital setting.  Are you performing annual and pre-hire physicals for staff who handle hazardous drug screenings?  Are you doing annual lab work?  If yes, what labs do you order, and if something significant shows up on the labs, do you refer them to their PCP?  Does your facility pay for the follow-up appointment?
