Cloth masks, or surgical masks for that matter, should not be used for PPE against COVID 19. The only acceptable PPE when caring for a known or suspected COVID patient is a fit tested N95 or PAPR. Surgical masks and cloth masks can help protect others from the wearer but DO NOT protect the wearer from a COVID patient.
