My organization does not have a formal Medical Director of Employee Health. As an Occ Med doc in a hospital-owned clinic, the nurses that support my clinic are the Employee Health nurses so I sort of try to fill that role, but there is no clear guidance that specifies the role. So, I am planning on writing up a draft that describes the responsibilities of a Medical Director of Employee Health (in coordination with a Manager of Employee Health and Wellness) so that it is formalized.

 

I could use some help. If you are able/willing, could you message me with a copy of the job description for your role as EH Med Dir, or some equivalent? I want to ensure that I address all the various aspects that an EH doc should be addressing.
