We have been asking about symptoms while doing temperature checks. Not many people state they have symptoms.

Now, we are discontinuing temperature checks, but are thinking of continuing with symptom monitoring with an app. When employees arrive, if they are masked, have their badge, and show their question app with Green, they can just walk in. If they have a red app screen, then they will be asked to speak with their manager before entering.

For others that have used a symptom app, have you found it helpful? Have you had employees stopped from entering because of their responses?

We are trying to get a sense of if this really helps, or if everyone just answers no so they can easily get to work?

Yes, and not just for employees but all who enter.
Vendors also need COVID testing.

Hi all,

I think everyone is doing daily symptom checks and attestations on hospital employees.  I am wondering if anyone is checking temperatures when
staff enter their hospitals for the day/shift.

Thank you

We are doing temp & symptoms screening for all person?s entering facilities along with a universal mandatory masking policy and providing masks to visitors if they do not have.  All staff have twice daily temp/symptoms checks, start of shift and mid-shift.  Staff sent home due to temp/symptom(s) are to be tested and can?t return until cleared by employee health.
