When individuals subscribe to the listserv, their posts are automatically distributed to all 1750+ subscribers. Unfortunately, rather than following the instructions shown at the bottom of every listserv message regarding how to change or cancel your subscription, a number of users chose to post an "unsubscribe" message to the entire list.

To prevent that from happening again, I've now imposed a requirement that (at least for the time being) all messages must be reviewed by the list moderator before they go out to all subscribers.
