That is my read of the ACIP slides, Wendy. The “grace period” allows early vaccination as soon as day 17. They are not giving an upper limit of time interval, nor are they recommending you “start over” after any particular lag in getting dose 2.

In the phase 3 trial, the predefined window for an acceptable dose 2 was 19 – 42 days after dose 1, per the VRBPAC briefing document. (Table 2, page  18)

I apologize! That was send inadvertanetly to the group, so now I feel compelled to explain. My question was:

For 2nd dose of Pfizer vaccine, is this what ACIP is saying?

·       timing of 2nd dosing (17-21 days; if late, give dose as soon as possible but don't repeat series)

Same here. Usual process for vaccination with no special consent form required.

In the state of Wisconsin, we were told that informed consent is not required when providing medication/vaccines under EUA.  We will be not be using informed consent but instead an acknowledgement of receipt of information about vaccine prior to administration.  This has gone through our legal team, and they have crafted the verbiage for the document.

We are having a discussion with our legal team about the informed consent for the Covid Vaccine.

Has anyone mastered that element yet and if so would you be willing to share it with the group.

Thanks
