I will still quarantine someone with exposure. Just because you have antibodies you never know if they could be overcome and get the virus, or they can have a chance to spread it. I cannot believe how many times staff has asked me that once they are vaccinated if they can stop wearing masks! The answer is no, and even when they may lift it for public I believe I will still have a healthcare facilities I work at mask just in case. Our current Influenza is 0 and I would like it to stay that way, so masking and social distancing is making a difference, and the only reason staff is not being quarantine when we do have someone we have cared for that has tested positive is because we have made certain PPE mandatory, placing all contacts at low risk providing they are wearing masks and eye protection and patients masking as much as possible for regular care, and for aerosol generating procedures they are wearing the CAPR or the N95 mask with eye protection.

Subject: [MCOH-EH] Post Vaccination Quarantine

Good morning.

Has anyone been asked what to do for your employees that you would normally quarantine because they are close household contacts of covid positive individuals after they have received the full vaccination schedule for covid?

The question came up here and we said that at the present time they needed to quarantine following the CDC guidelines.

Any thoughts for your employees after they receive the second dose and after 1-2 weeks?

So for we have immunized over 6k employees with the first dosage.

Thanks
