I agree my top two were Agility and Meditrax when we were looking at EH sytstems.

I have no financial interest in these programs
We are using Agility by NetHealth. It is designed for Occ Med and employee health. I’ve looked at many systems and this is one of the best I have found. Meditrax is another
good one for employee health issues but not, in my opinion, as good for general occupational health
Agility has linkage to take audiometric data directly from certain audiometers and a limited number of spirometers. But we have not yet hooked them up.

Zaw,
Unfortunately, with the exception of a few proprietary OEM EHR systems developed in-house by large Corporations (e.g. Kaiser Permanente, Concentra, Mayo Clinic, etc.), the
majority of OEM EHR programs used by ACOEM members (e.g. Medgate, Systoc, OHM, Meditrax, Axion and a few others) fall short of providing the end-user with a comprehensive and well-integrated program. These OEM EHR programs are usually offshoots from an existing
“inpatient” platform and/or even an “outpatient” platform but sadly remain “two-dimensional” in scope and unable to handle the diverse needs of most Occupational Medicine practices. That said, some EHR programs do a very good job handling Workman Comp., Case
Management, and /or Wellness Programs, but seldom can be modified beyond their primary focus.
EPIC is just starting to enter the Occ Med arena. I was invited to their April Occ Med EPIC Strategy meeting and quickly realized that it will take EPIC a while before they
are at same level as other EHR programs that are already on the market (see above). Other than Burdick, EPIC does not have any third party connectivity with Labs, EKG, Spirometry, Audiogram, XRAY vendors.
That said, most Occ Med EHR programs do not have specific arrangements with the various well-known manufactures/suppliers for these equipment used routinely in Occ Med Clinics
(i.e. Burdick, GE, MidMark, Schiller, Welch Allyn…)
You might want to check with Medgate, Systoc, OHM, Meditrax, and Axion to a solution to your issue. Others in the forum may be able to offer more suggestions.
Best wishes,
Michael

Hi all,
Which audiometer does your institution use and which electronic health record does it integrate with? San Francisco General Hospital is transitioning into Epic and while our current audiometer integrates with our existing EHR (OHM), it
will not do so for Epic. The option provided is a manual entry and STS calculations can be done via report generation, but it will take about a 24 hour lag for the report to be generated.
We are looking into middleware software to bridge the gap as we transition to Epic and wondering if the group has some recommendation for audiometers and softwares and associated costs that we could look into.
Thanks for your time!
Best,
