We use Agility for our occupational health information and EPIC for worker’s compensation only – work injuries are not seen in employee health, but are sent to our external occupational health clinics and to our specialist providers who all document there.

Agility is a relatively intuitive EMR and staff have had no difficulty learning how to use it.  We have found that this works relatively well.

We order labs and other tests on paper requisitions, but are working on an interface between the two which would allow for bidirectional flow of information.

Our external occupational health clinics use Agility in the same way we do, but the providers there have access to both EMR’s and can order in EPIC – they have separate codes set up to order xrays and bill to occupational health vs insurance.

I also work in Occ Health.  We also have EPIC, but for employee charting we are currently using Agility which is from a company called Net Health.

As for ordering labs or COVID screens, we rely on our lab staff to put the orders into EPIC.  We currently use a paper order form and e-fax or fax the order to the lab.

Besides Agility, Demensions (HR Program) also offers a program for EH charting

In my organization I’m not able to use EPIC for Occ Health, so I’m on paper unfortunately. The only things I’m able to use EPIC for is labs, and I’m not allowed to enter the orders, only have them cc’d into my in basket. My use of EPIC has been far from epic. I would love to hear work-arounds, or what other organizations have who also use EPIC for their EHR and what they use for their Occ Health programs.

I have suggested to my organization that employees have a separate “occ health” account or sign a HIPPA waiver so I’d be allowed in their charts, both ideas have been shot down. I’ve looked into getting another system in place like Agility, also shut down, which is why I’m stuck on paper.
