Tampa General has a certified ergonomist (occupational therapist) that is part of our Injury Prevention/Lift Team department. This department reported to me for 20 years but last month was moved under Rehab Services as Team Member Health
was moved under Ambulatory Division about a year ago and our VP thought this was a better fit.
Services are well utilized and she sets up work stations, teaches posture classes, completes ergonomic assessments, does job site analysis, and provides education.
She covers over 10,000 healthcare workers, including our ambulatory clinics and centers.

Subject: [MCOH-EH] Ergonomist
WARNING: This email
came from an external source outside of Tampa General Hospital.
A quick question that I would appreciate your input on.
How many of your organizations have a dedicated ergonomist?
If you do have, how are they utilized?
Are they part of the employee health team or another organization?
Thank you in advance.
