Paul,

Could you share a specific example?
Our Disabilities policy covers this. For example if an employee returns to work wearing a boot or on crutches, they would apply through our Third Party Administrator for an accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act. We would then evaluate the request/limitations against their job description to evaluate if the request is reasonable and then determine approval or denial of the accommodation request.

Subject: [MCOH-EH] Healthcare workers and DME

Hello,

Do any of your institutions have written policies on healthcare workers wearing/utilizing DME while working?

This came up at a meeting recently.

Thank you.
