Hello everyone,
I came across a message on a patients lab results for Plasma and RBC cholinesterase Testing reading:
"Effective March 21st, 2022,  Cholinesterase RBC will be made non-orderable due to reagent availability issues".

My staff reached out to our clinical lab confirming a national shortage of reagent for performing this test.

I am curious if anyone else performing baseline and periodic cholinesterase testing have come across this issue. If so, how have they handled this for monitoring populations exposed to pesticides?

Thanks in advance
