Some hospitals do random UDS in anesthesia, but I don’t think it’s common. Some pharmacy departments used to require random testing of pharmacy staff for a specific specialty pharmacy certification. Not sure if that’s still in place.

There was a time when anesthesia residencies did random opiate testing (back in the 1990s – okay, I’m dating myself) as a function of the training program agreements.  Is that still in place?

Another drug test question.

Do any of your organizations do random drug tests on your specialized groups of employees such as pharmacy or anesthesia?

Thanks
