We are doing the same – return on day 6 – day of call to Occ. Health is day 0. The return depends on the ability to wear a mask, resolving symptoms and no fever, no antipyretics for 24 hours.

We operate under the contingency category the CDC created for healthcare workers. Our employees return after a 5 day quarantine (technically 6 with first day of symptoms being considered day 0), and they do not have to retest just as long
as their symptoms are improving and they haven’t taken fever reducing medication or had a fever in the 24 hours prior.

Erin,
Our employees return on day #7 no testing. 24 hours fever free WITHOUT medications to prevent or reduce fever and all other symptoms improving.

Subject: [MCOH-EH] Question about COVID-19 return to work policies
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone would be comfortable sharing their organization's current policy for returning to work following COVID-19 infection?
We were considering making our policy more stringent in light of the updated CDC guidance. I am curious to know what other policies are out there.
Our current policy is:
Return on day #6 if an antigen test is negative on day #5
OR
Return on day #7 (no testing required)
In both cases the employee must be fever-free x24 hours and free of vomiting/diarrhea x48 hours.
Thank you,
