Subject: Qualitative Fit Testing vs quantitative

Has anyone migrated to qualitative testing?

If so,

  1. What did you use to get approval for the initial costs?
  2. What is the true savings in time for the testers comparing both testing methods?
  3. What device did you purchase?   Make and model
  4. Did you have to develop a business plan for the change?  If so, can you share it?
  5. What has been the experience by testers after the change?

We are contemplating the switch but will have to develop a SBAR (i.e. business plan) for such a purchase and would like to make sure we are moving in this direction for all the right reasons.

I am especially interested in efficiency of time when testing using the 2 methods as we deal with lack of clinical staff on a daily basis.

THANKS for your time and the willingness to share.   THANK YOU, Darryl
