Hello,

I am wondering how other Employee health nurses are conducting their pre-employment testing? Currently we are having the new employee come in for UDS and TB test on first day of hire. This process proposes a problem if the new hire does not pass UDS .   Also, if TB is positive and need further testing, chest X-ray.  The employee can be working for 1-2 weeks before the results come in and costing hospital money. The HR department states that BOLI new regulations were passed that in state of Oregon any pre-employment activities are considered compensable.

How are other hospitals and CAH conducting and still under the new regulations.

Thank you,
