Workplace Violence taskforce and risk involved in all combative patient incidents.
Sharps injuries discussed in sharps committee meetings with emphasis on education and prevention and mentoring, as well as with infection prevention.
REINFORCE RLS REPORTING within 24 hours of incident. Need to emphasize reporting incidents in RL even if employee does not seek evaluation.
Staff were educated at the time of the incident on proper procedures.
Recommended: Reinforce safety protocols and for staff to take their time performing tasks.

Our employee health leadership team has been asked to comment on the value of this metric and whether others in healthcare are using something similar when looking at safety.
