Good afternoon, everyone,

Do any of you routinely ask about the use of controlled substances during pre-placement medical assessments?

If so, do you issue “Dear doctor” letters on occasion for clearance purposes and/or ask the candidate that they attest that they are using the controlled substance according to a prescription and prescriber’s instructions, and that in their opinion they can safely perform their essential job functions?

I am curious about this for benchmarking purposes.

Thank you.

PS. It was great seeing many of you at AOHC this year. What a great conference!
