We Provide TDaP to all staff, volunteers, permanent contractors. We provide these every ten years as staff need updating. We only give out TD if there is an allergy to pertussis. Most of our staff have interaction with children/pregnant people whether through work or at home.

⚠️

We provide Tdap to all staff who provide direct care to infants, children, and pregnant women.  We require 1 adult dose of Tdap and do not revaccinate as further vaccination with Tdap does not confer increased immunity to Pertussis.  We urge people to have Td after 10 years but will provide Tdap for anyone needing an updated Td for a work-related injury.

Dear All,

I am wondering if you have any special programs in place to promote Pertussis (Tdap) boosters for staff working in Children's and Neonatal HCFs?

U.S. News and World Report encourages ranked hospitals to achieve a vaccination rate of 95% which might be impossible given that most hospitals do not mandate it.

If you could share your best practices about this, I would appreciate that very much.

Thank you.
