For our new hires, while we call it a new hire physical, we only do the things you named below. Medical history questionnaire, titers, immunizations, UDS, color vision, hearing,  respiratory clearance, and fit testing. For some positions, we also do a physical capacity test. If we see something on the medical questionnaire that requires more information, we send a letter along with their ORA/job description for them to take to their primary MD for clearance before clearing them for orientation. We abide by SCDPH, OSHA, and CDC recommendations/requirements.

Has anyone stopped doing physicals for new hires (other than below)?

 

We are considering doing a brief questionnaire, titers, immunizations, UDS, color vision for those doing POCT, respirator clearance, and fit testing   

 

There may be state requirements for some, but is anyone aware of a federal requirement to do more?
