We do have an internal EAP program that is only for our employees to use and mostly manages mental health crises/urgent issues that occur in the workplace/during the workday.  We have a separate EAP program with an outside vendor that employees can access on their own from home at any time.  I’m happy to have a more indepth offline discussion on how we use our internal EAP team.

We also have a Peer Support Program separate from EAP to help with the following issues:

o   Possible medical errors/adverse events

o   Unanticipated patient outcomes

o   Inability to stop the natural progression of a patient’s medical condition

o   Aggressive/violent behavior directed at a member of the health care team

o   Loss of a colleague to death or unexpected illness of a colleague

Subject: [MCOH-EH] Internal EAP teams?

Good afternoon, everyone, Does anyone have an internal EAP program, or a hybrid model with a third-party vendor? If so, what does your staffing model look like, including the number of dedicated staff per covered employees. Thank you. ______________________________________________________
