We consider marijuana in any form as “prohibited”.

Hello,
We are finding that most state licensing organizations across the country consider the use of THC an illicit drug, with positive testing at work worthy of disciplinary actions,
e.g., pharmacy, nursing, and medical.

Learn why this is important |
Hello David
We entertain by ed not including THC in a drug screen. We went back and forth with HR especially since THC is legal in Vt.
We also had discussions with Quest and to remove THC was actually going to cost more.
We thought about “ignoring” positive THC. Legal weighed in and thought it might be risky if that individual was in a safety sensitive position and there was an error in patient care, it would be seen in discovery.
I also did a survey of my colleagues through MCOH and the majority of respondents said thc was in their panel.
It has been over three years since I was involved in this discussion. I would be interested in the results and what the final decision is at DH. That's not good. Oh my goodness. Wow, it's definitely a lot of times. Yeah, now they are going
to change the steps. This is the prediction.
Best regards,
Philip Adamo

Dartmouth Health is taking a careful look at our pre-employment drug testing policy to determine if adjustments are needed. I would truly appreciate responses from my MCOH peers to the following two short questions on your organization?s pre-employment drug testing program. Responses will help guide our thinking as we review our own program.
1. Does your organization perform pre-employment drug testing?
2. If yes, does your organization test for marijuana as part of the testing panel?
Thanks in advance for your help!
