[CASL-L] Fwd: Sign Up today to testify in support of the Ebook Bill!!!

CASL members, especially those of you who live in towns whose legislator is
on the Planning and Development committee, please sign up to speak tomorrow
at the eBook hearing. You can be a librarian, an educator or a resident of
those towns, so if you know of folks that would be willing to speak, please
send them this information. The amount of time for speaking is 3 minutes.

Here are the legislator's on the Planning and Development committee:

Hello,

We have heard from legislators that *we need more people to testify in
person or on zoom tomorrow at the ebook hearing.*  We have confirmed that
there will be a representative from the publishers there.  Rep. Kavros
DeGraw is concerned that not many librarians have signed up to testify.



She is going to hold the speaking link open a little longer.  Please sign
up to testify in person or on zoom tomorrow.  The meeting is at 1:30pm.

*WHAT’S HAPPENING & WHEN*

The Planning & Development (P&D) Committee will hold a hybrid public
hearing Wednesday, February 21 starting at 1:30 PM.

*Register TODAY by 3:00 p.m.*



*YOUR VOICE IS NEEDED*

We need people to sign up to testify—especially librarians and residents of
the districts of members*** of the P&D Committee.



We also need people from all over the state to email letters in support of
the bill!

Sign Up to Testify by 3 PM, on Tuesday, February 20. The hearing is on
Wednesday, February 21 at 1:30 PM. Here’s the link to register:
