Thanks everyone for your suggestions...
 
Decided to use www.bighugelabs.com and use a class photo of each group for the magazine cover project.  I saw it on the Nutmeg wiki site a few years back and have always wanted to try it.  
 
Students can help me make captions for the "cover stories" about our principal and school, and then print it.  I'll have the kids sign the back of the page and bind it into a book for him.
