Connecticut Libraries:

iCONN.org will not be available from Friday, December 28 at 7 pm ET until Monday, December 31 at 7 am ET.

1. reQuest - the Statewide Library Catalog will be unavailable during this time. Users will not be able to search the catalog or place and track their ILL requests.

2. During this downtime, users will be redirected to a webpage that provides temporary access to the iCONN databases (i.e. articles, newspapers, HeritageQuest, iCONN's audio book collection, etc.).

Further details:
The vendor that hosts iCONN.org is making a major change to its hosting service that will require a weekend to complete. As a result, iCONN.org will not be available from Friday, December 28 at 7 pm ET until Monday, December 31 at 7 am ET. We requested that weekend because we thought it would have the least impact on users. To further minimize the impact, at our request Auto-Graphics will implement a redirect link so that when users go to either iCONN.org, or to any of the classic menu pages<http://www.cslib.org/iconnsitemap/staff/classicmenulinks.aspx>, or directly to any individual database using a direct link<http://www.cslib.org/iconnsitemap/staff/urltable.aspx> provided by Auto-Graphics) (all links preceded by "rqst"), the user will be redirected to a temporary access page. The temporary access page will provide an alternate path to all the databases we are licensing from Cengage Gale, EBSCO and ProQuest using the database vendors' own links. Libraries that already routinely use the database vendors' own links will not be affected by this outage. The E-Journal Finder (for public/school libraries<http://jx8sd9lj6j.search.serialssolutions.com/> and for academic libraries<http://kj6xf9su7b.search.serialssolutions.com/>) will not be affected by this outage because it also uses the database vendors' own links. Likewise, access to Downloadable Audiobooks<http://iconnct.oneclickdigital.com/Home/Featured.aspx> will not be affected by this outage

Between now and December 28, we will be testing the alternate access method being set up for iCONN databases for that weekend. Regrettably, we are not able to offer a workaround for the statewide library catalog service because that service is hosted exclusively by Auto-Graphics.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work through this change that will provide a more stable and secure platform for iCONN.org
