Hi everyone:

In the past, students who lost a library book would have to pay for it
or their report card would be withheld. When we received the money, our
policy has always been that if they found the book, the money would be
reimbursed. I was informed today by our business manager that they
changed the handbook (I wasn't consulted or informed) and all payments
for books are nonrefundable. They will no longer issue refund checks.
Even though they appear to be unyielding on this, I am wondering how
many schools have a non-refundable policy? I am very much against this
for many reasons, but perhaps I am alone in my feelings about this. Just
looking for some feedback.

Thanks,
