[CASL-L] one book, one school

Hello all,
 
I'm thinking of doing a "one book, one school" project next year with "Because of Mr. Terupt" by Rob Buyea next year.  I'm pitching it to administration next week and would love to hear from others who have done this already.  We have a reading specialist who went to a conference and has shared some info, but I'll take any more pointers!!
 
For example:
-when did you start the process?
-how did you pitch it to staff to get everyone on board?
-what activities did you do schoolwide?
-was it "required" for all?
-did you buy copies for all staff and students and how did you fund your project?
 
 
I'm sure there's a ton of other things I'm not thinking of...I'd appreciate any shares!
