Going Google: 15 Tips for Efficient Searching - April 10th 9:00 -12:00 (Willimantic Library Service Center)
Google has become one of the most popular and powerful search engines on the Internet. We'll look at some of the more advanced search functions available in this user-friendly search engine to enable you to find answers to your questions in as few clicks as possible. Bring some of your more pesky reference questions and put Google to the test.

Publisher 2007 in a Jiffy - April 10th 1:00-4:00 (Willimantic Library Service Center)
Need to make a flyer publicizing your story time or a newsletter for the Library? Microsoft's Publisher allows you to do that and more. In this workshop you will explore Publisher's various templates and wizards. Using this software's many tools, you will create and customize a professional flyer. This class is designed for librarians with limited or no experience with Publisher.

Gale Virtual Reference Library & Ebook Subcollections - April 18th 10:00-12:30 (Willimantic Library Service Center)
 Do you prepare book carts with selected books for teacher classroom visits to share with students? How would you like to make the same selected content available to them 24x7? Attend this workshop to learn about how to turn your Gale e-books into "electronic book carts" for use with special projects or audiences. Resources Focus: Gale Virtual Reference Library, ebook Subcollection Manager.

Literature Research & Your Gale/iCONN Resources - April 18th 1:30-4:00 (Willimantic Library Service Center)
 Did you know Gale's Biography in Context resource contains all of Contemporary Authors? Or that Academic OneFile has over 200 full text literature journals? Or Books & Authors can help with collection development? Attend this half-day workshop to learn more about finding literature content in your Gale/iCONN resources and how they can help you more frequently at the reference desk.

iCONN Database Workshop: Libraries Mean Business - April 19th  9:00-11:30 (Middletown Library Service Center)
Reach out to your business community and offer them and outreach service like none other. Learn how to provide successful solutions for small businesses and other professionals through program ideas and a variety of online resources using Business and Company Resource Center.

E-reference and iCONN - April 19th 1:00-3:30 (Middletown Library Service Center)
