Wednesday October 3rd marks the American Association of School Librarians' 
(AASL) second annual Banned Websites Awareness Day (#BWAD on Twitter), which 
earmarks one day of Banned Books Week to focus on the intellectual freedom 
rights of K-12 learners, as they pertain to Internet resources. In this webinar, 
Michelle Luhtala, Head Librarian, New Canaan High School, CT, will share 
practical applications for frequently blocked resources in K-12 learning, 
suggested activities to recognize the day, and share resources that will help 
BWAD advocates encourage policy revision within their districts.

About the Presenter
Michelle Luhtala is the Head Librarian at New Canaan High School in New Canaan,

Library Association's 2012 Outstanding Librarian Award.
