Advance Registration Pricing Deadline Extended!
Don't miss out and join colleagues and peers for a focused and interactive
learning event taking place near you! Attend the AASL 2012 Fall Forum satellite
site in Doylestown, PA, from October 12-13, 2012, and you won't miss a minute of
the programming taking place in Greenville, SC. Less than an hour from
Philadelphia and connected by a regional rail line, Doylestown is known for its
lively downtown area, quaint shops, and excellent restaurants. Enjoy history,
art and theatre in the county seat or take in the fall colors at any of the 13
covered bridges in Bucks County.
This year's Fall Forum, Transliteracy and the School Library Program, is
designed to help school librarians develop strategies to effectively integrate
transmedia skills into the curriculum creating opportunities for students and
teachers to engage in the participatory online environment. Kristin Fontichiaro
and R. David Lankes will join media studies scholar, Henry Jenkins, in providing
a comprehensive overview of the importance of participatory culture in
education.
By attending the Fall Forum in Doylestown, you be able convene with other
leaders in the field around a critical topic in the profession all while staying
in a historic and artistic location. Start the conversation early with other
attendees and followers on the Fall Forum Ning!
