FYI
This was a hot topic at ALA mid-winter in January and on the AASLforum.

Subject: [aaslforum] Ditching Dewey?

Have you ditched Dewey in favor of an alphabetical subject arrangement of
nonfiction? Have you genre-fied your fiction collection? Do you think either or
both of those are terrible ideas -- or are you mulling it over. Check out the
AASL Blog http://www.aasl.ala.org/aaslblog/?p=3461 and join in the conversation
that got started on AASL Forum, expanded to a HOT TOPICS panel discussion at
Midwinter, and will be the theme of the November/December 2013 issue of Knowlege
Quest.
