At JBHS people email or call IT with the request. If it is a questionable site it is referred to me, as Director of Technology, for final authorization. There have been some instances where a teacher needs a site unblocked for a limited amount of time and that is easily accommodated as well.

I have a quick Q for those who work in HS ; when an internet site that teachers need for instruction has been blocked by filters, what is the procedure that IT/School/District follows to allow teachers to request a site be “unblocked”? Thanks for any info!
