[CASL-L] Student ceiling due date

My scenario is also similar to Eva's and Elaine's, except I have half the
population, and no assistant.  The assistant principal has asked for updated
lists of missing books, but I do not know if he is working on that.  At this
point, I will start to email parents.  That is fairly effective, although quite
time-consuming.  I have started doing inventory in reference and non-fiction,
since most of those books are on the shelf -- somewhere!

I have a similar time frame, and never get all the books back.  We used to
withhold report cards until the book came back or was paid for but are no longer
allowed to.
Are there any creative ideas out there to get books returned?
