I'm in a middle school. I set my series books in a separate section. After
the call number I put an S and put a small round red sticker on the binding
for easy shelving. I keep a notebook at the shelf with each of the complete
series listed. If I'm missing a book in a series, it is marked with an
asterisk. This enables me to easily complete my series collections when
ordering books. I also did the same for a section I call Quick Reads for my
reluctant and lower level readers. On their call numbers I have added QR
and put a green circle sticker on the binding for easy shelving as well.
This seems to be working fine and the students appreciate having separate
sections.
