Dear Irene,

The application and rubric for AASL's 2014 National School Library of the Year (NSLPY) Award are now available in Word document format on the AASL website.

The NSLPY Award recognizes school library programs that meet the needs of the changing school and library environment. Exemplary school library programs ensure that the students and staff are effective users of ideas and information. These programs empower learners to be critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers and ethical users of information.

The online application is currently under development and should be available within 2-3 weeks. AASL will communicate its availability. Until that time, please feel free to use the Word documents to start collecting data and material for formal submission.
