Hello,

I've actually been meaning to pass along this info for a couple of weeks.
There is this great organization called EcoWorks in New Haven. They
specialize in collecting unwanted materials and selling them again cheaply
as art supplies arts and other "upcycling" efforts. They are the ONLY
place in CT that works this way, and they LOVE teachers. Please spread the
word to anyone looking to donate materials that might be otherwise thrown
out (books, VHS, office supplies etc.), or for teachers that are looking
for a really cheap place to shop for classroom resources and art supplies.
They even host crafting classes!!!! Please support this great initiative
in our state!

For more info, please check out:
http://ecoworksct.org/

Some samples of things they sell right not are:

   - Yarn
   - Industrial Foam
   - Fabric samples and scraps
   - Burlap coffee bags
   - Upholstery fabric
   - Vintage cross stitch
   - Knitting needles
   - Maps
   - Vintage linens
   - Wood scraps
   - Large cardboard tubes
   - Old games, cards, puzzles
   - Paper boxes
   - Different sized paper
   - Laminant scraps
   - Scraps of Corian
   - Thin metal sheets
   - Tiles – multiple sizes
   - Classroom activities, kits and games
   - Leather scraps
   - Maps
   - Gift boxes, different sizes (new and used)
