I'm a newbie LMS, but I've been working with my 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders on coding. I found that course 2 is too hard for even my 4th graders. I have them start using course 1 and explain that no one starts video games on level 20; they start on level 1 and learn step by step. All of my students have been satisfied with that explanation and have had a great time with it.
I'd be happy to talk with you in more detail if you'd like.
Hope this helps.

I went to www.code.org and tried Course 2 (for students who can read) and found the unplugged activity, drawing on graph paper and writing an algorithm for it, difficult. There didn't seem to be a help screen or explanation of the commands. If you are knowledgeable and available to give me some guidance, I'd appreciate it.
