[CASL-L] What do you do?

Hello folks:

Along with my day job I just started working as the librarian for SHU's satellite campus in Griswold.

The classes here are either for students working on their initial teaching certification or current teachers working on their 6th year or 092 Administrative certification.

I've been invited to talk to a class of prospective admins. I'd like to offer them a list of things school librarians have done since the start of school; concrete, observable actions we have taken as part of our job.

Remember, these are future administrators. So, keep it simple.

For instance:

Since the start of school I have...
-Worked with the Social Studies department to use a new database to support their curriculum. Helped write the lesson plan and co-taught the lesson with 4 Social Studies teachers and the entire ninth grade.
-taught college level research skills to ECE classes in English and History
-researched alternate and renewable energy for an AP Science course
-Saved the World Language dept. a lot of money by finding free versions of their foreign language magazine subscriptions
-managed over 100 students a day in the library

What can you add to this list? Can everyone add 3-5 things that they have done that would not have been done without a librarian?

I'll take my answer off the air,
Matt
