[CASL-L] C. Alexander London Author Visits

Hello everyone! 

I'm the school librarian at South Elementary School in Windsor Locks, CT!  We had Alex London for an author's visit today and he was absolutely FANTASTIC. We are a Grade 3-5 school and he kept them engaged for the ENTIRE HOUR which you know can be EXTREMELY difficult some days! He was so personable with both staff and students that I just had to share that if you are looking for an author's visit, he is absolutely worth every penny!  Every teacher I came across today loved him and said he was entertaining for both adults and students.  

I got his name off this listserv last year and the two fabulous librarians that mentioned him were not kidding, he was inspiring to so many kids and was just willing to work with everyone.  He talks about not loving to read, loving video games, tv, all of the necessary "kid" topics.  He also has a YA novel that he was telling me about so don't think he's just a Middle Grade author! 

I had to share his name again with you all :)!
