You mean like The Berenstain Bears books? That type?
So they aren't in the catalog? Are they in a donation box?
I would go through and weed what you don't think is appropriate for the collection (whether it's too commercial or bad condition, whatever). If not stamped and labeled, give them to teachers.
Then -- if you want or need a shortcut -- do a simple catalog record on the titles you have left. It's doubtful most will be searched by subject, so do the minimum. Just Author, Title, series maybe, so you can check them out.
If any might be searched by subject, you can do a full record.
