[CASL-L] Discover DEVOS Video Server & Streamsie Encoder Feedback

The act of digitizing a DVD violates the copyright protection on the DVD
(unless purchase of the device grants you that provision - and it doesn't
usually).

Even if you are limiting it to a single user, you did not purchase a
digital copy of the movie so giving teacher access to a digital copy is a
violation.

I would love for this to work - but we did not put any videos on this
server because of the copyright violation aspect.  When we asked DEVOS
about this they said, "We just provide the hardware to make this happen.
What you do with it is up to you."

If there's a better legal answer, I don't yet know what it is.
