Hi Michele,
We are 1:1 Chromebooks and our tech department has solved the printing
problem. I cannot speak to the technical details, but students send print
jobs to a print server. Then they approach one of several printers around
the building and scan their student ID cards under a barcode scanner. The
printer then releases their jobs. The system works every time. If
students don't have their cards, they come to the library to use one of our
computers and print from there.
