[CASL-L] Resources for research on the Middle East

Hi Melissa -

The best bargain I've found for country info is the database "Country
Reports" which only costs me $82.00 per year. I really like the layout of
information and it would be great for middle school.

I also have the database Culturegrams which is a ProQuest product. I don't
have pricing for that database as a standalone since I bundle it with two
other ProQuest databases. (The package of all three is about $3000.)

In the past, I've also purchased geography info databases from Cavendish
Square Digital. At the high school I purchased the "World and Its Peoples"
title, but I think Cavendish also has another title at a lower reading
level.

I also link to many academic quality websites about various countries. Some
might be too tough for 7th grade, but the CIA World Factbook would probably
work for your kids: https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-
factbook/
